Guest Artist Workshops

Kids On Paper workshops provide a hands-on approach to teaching young people sequential art skills, such as: character design, layout, storytelling, pencilling, inking, lettering and coloring.

Our guest artists foster professional artistic development and inspire workshop participants to pursue future careers in comics, animation, video games, advertising, graphic design, multimedia and more.

SEQUENTIAL ART WORKSHOP AT J.A.M.S. CLUBHOUSE

KIDS ON PAPER VALENTINE'S DAY
SEQUENTIAL ART WORKSHOP

Kids On Paper hosted a pre-Valentine's Day workshop for kids and teens aged 11 - 17 at the Sherman Oaks Branch Library on Saturday 2/3/06.

Special guest artists Arpineh Khatchatorians and Susan Berkowitz assisted kids from the Sherman Oaks Teen Council and neighborhood kids draw unique sequential art Valentine's cards to launch our first annual Valentine's Workshop.

Telling their own personal stories, subject matter ranged from a crush on David Letterman to a Jewish boy's forbidden love of shrimp! You can see their imaginative results on our KIDS page (click on the Valentine's Day 2007 Workshop link in the navigation bar).

The 2006 MONSTERS ON PAPER WORKSHOP

Special guest artists Dave Pressler and Arpineh Khatchatorians helped a dozen kids draw the scariest monsters you could imagine to launch the first annual Monsters On Paper.
